One of the most important piece of research that I needed to gather was to take some photographs of the existing store space. This was very useful and from talking to the really friendly staff they gave me some useful information about how they go about designing their interior space.
+ They hold competitions within the company to design for the look of the space.
+ The window display is more influenced by the seasonal trends, unlike their clothing ranges which are not influenced by the high-street.
+ Their in-store ranges are now primarily created by Aqua by Ryan Holliday-Stevens. (E-mail).
The in-store has changed recently with the new S/S season. Kirsty (General Manager of Womenswear) gave me some useful information about the forthcoming season and directed my towards. Liam (General Manager of Menswear) will be in tomorrow whom I'm going to speak to tomorrow. The existing store layout is really nice, one of the main features of the lower floor was the turning solar-system model, although really interesting I had a feeling that this piece of design had been placed within the store for a long time, possibly even a year or so. As for the design of the windows themselves I felt they lacked the uniqueness of the design aspect which Aqua seem to have over the fashion market.
